O tabaco faz mal à saúde? [*]

Aparentemente não, a julgar pelo charuto que este motor de 8000 cavalos do dragster Top Fuel de Antron Brown "fuma" após a vitória na Infineon Raceway de Sonoma, California, no passado fim de semana. Esta, e outras, excelentes imagens podem ser seguidas na reportagem publicada pelo fotógrafo profissional Mark J. Rebilas no seu blog, depois deste salto.

Os alemães têm destas coisas. Uma certa criatividade (por vezes) quase delirante, mas original. Mais próximo deles só os japoneses. Desta vez mostro o vídeo promocional da agência JvM de Hamburg (Jung von Matt) para o canal televisivo alemão 13TH STREET, nascido em 1998 e parte da NBC/Universal.

Especializado na temática do Horror, Ficção Científica e o Suspense, a agência projectou colocar várias bolas de bowling em alguns recintos da especialidade, surpreendendo os utentes com "cabeças de zombie" através de cujos orifícios (são 3) o jogador se atreverá a perfurar os olhos, nariz e boca(s) dos mortos-vivos que aterrorizam a cultura popular desde há várias décadas. As bolas foram pintadas pelo artista Oliver Paass, num trabalho notável. No seu blog poderão ser vistas outras zonas de cada bola. Como eu afirmo no título: é vê-las rolar pela pista fora, as cabeças.

"Teme Pelo Teu Pescoço", lê-se numa das bolas (Fürchte Dich um Kopf und Kragen). Bem feito! (a vários níveis)

SWTOR - As razões do interesse

Star Wars: The Old Republic...Só dez razões para? São milhares, no mínimo. Aqui vão as 10, então... Umas mais óbvias e directas que outras. Concordo com a maioria, especialmente por se tratar a) de Star Wars (demasiado óbvio?), b) da BioWare, c) por ser um MMORPG (fiquei viciado pelo WoW-World of Warcraft, do qual me fartei há 2 anos), d) pelo conteúdo (a história) e e) a imersividade esperada.

Passa-se isto, tal-qual, na minha empresa. Um nojo, especialmente porque permitido por quadros com responsabilidades acima da minha. "Beneficia" quem?  No imediato, apenas os lacaios dos ditos responsáveis...

Uma apresentação a propósito da arte de Terry Gilliam, pelo próprio, na criação das suas animações de figuras recortadas e porque hoje vi o seu filme The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009) e comprei na passada semana (finalmente...) a caixa em DVD das quatro temporadas completas dos episódios televisivos dos Monty Python (para mim, ainda o nec plus ultra do humor).
